New Tags Added
I have just added new tags to the site today for Cyburbia, Hacker.News and Metafilter. Cyburbia has 16 posts tagged that way, Metafilter has 25 and Hacker News has 65. (No, that's not a miscount. That's before hitting publish on a new post with all three tags.)
That may not be comprehensive. I sometimes refer to Hacker News as HN or talk about people there by name -- sometimes by creative nicknames, like Jack or Genevieve -- and I spent years trying to express myself without attracting stupid levels of attention from forums or members thereof I hoped to sort things out with.
I have no such delusions anymore and fuck 'em. If people want to gossip about a woman they shafted and pretend she's the guilty party, whatever.
Hopefully, it will go someplace more constructive than that, but historically that's been the primary reason people posted my stuff anywhere or talked about me.
I'm ready to speak my mind in public as I see fit and if other people don't like it, well, not everyone will. And it's not like I like how a lot of these assholes treated me, which didn't STOP them.
Footnote
The following day (20 October 2026) I added The.TAG.Project as another new label. It currently has five entries and it will hit six when I add it to this post. Tagfam.org is the website for The TAG Project and TAGMAX, TAGFAM and TAGPDQ are specific email lists.
