Hello, Jessamyn

There's a scene in some movie, maybe You've Got Mail, where a woman rants about her business being put out of business being personal for her because some asshole man who put her out of business says it's "nothing personal."

And that hits a nerve for me and is pertinent to the goals of this site and my thoughts about men and women being socialized differently, men to have very public lives and women to have very private lives. 

Because we have expressions like "The personal is political." and the reality is that trust is always personal. You have to earn that and prove you merit it.

So I still wrestle with finding the words for what feels like a domain of knowledge that I'm inventing for which we don't yet have basic concepts worked out.

Jessamyn West and I are not friends. We never have been. She avoided me when I was on Metafilter. 

I don't believe she was really involved in the bullshit the went down where Josh Millard hired a hateful little bitch as his hatchet man to unjustly ban me because he was squeeing at me in front of our ten thousand closest friends,  his hypocritical evil little cunt of a Good Christian (TM) wifey was kicking the shit out of me, a homeless woman, like I wanted her asshole husband to sexually harass me while declining my attempts to engage the shithead in conversation and help him sort whatever was eating him that he was stupidly imagining he had the hots for me.

My guess: He and bitchy both come from extremely toxic Christian sects and they're only real bond was agreeing that as a closeted gay man and any kind of woman, their extremely homophobic, misogynistic brand of Christianity made them both the unacceptable that they each intended to accept like good little Christians.

I don't have the words to express what I really mean here. And their drowning in self loathing little marriage is a minor detail, not the point of this piece. 

Anyway, bitch -- Jessamyn -- I'm not your ally, we aren't friends and it's nothing personal. But I always thought you should have gotten the site when Matt stepped down because you made it what it is. 

That poisonous little White boy only got it because systemic sexism is alive and well and lives and breathes via plausible deniability and this bullshit is what it looks like.

Men get the spoils and the credit when they build the damn thing. Women don't and this is how that plays out.
